Ready to Graduate...
So I'm sitting in class, not exactly listening, and I decided to look up my graduation date. It's May 7th, 2010. Or in other terms only 199 days away. Let the countdown begin!

Cooking for two
I love to cook! Patrick has been wonderful at tr
ying everything I attempt to make. I completely botched a Mexican corn soup. I'm hoping to one day master it but as for now I'm avoiding it. My worst cooking disaster thus far was burning bacon. Our apartment smelled for days! One of my favorite things I made as Green Curry. It wasn't as good as the Green curry at Simply Thai or Sawadee but I still enjoyed it.
One Saturday morning Patrick and I woke up and decided to have fondue for dinner. We invited Tyler Brown over and the three of us enjoyed a feast of food!
We had beef
and chicken...
and veggies...
and quinoa, (a type of rice)
We also had shrimp but I can't find the photo. Strangely I didn't take photos of any of the cooked meat or of the actual event.
I promise to do better.

Time for a quick confession...
I forgot what my URL was for my blog and couldn't figure out how to remember it! So not a huge mistake except I have now been married for almost three months and my blog has been untouched since March!!! Oops!
Well here is us! We're MARRIED! And we live in this tiny, wacky charmed apartment in the middle (or close to it) of downtown Salt Lake! We live it and couldn't be happier with the lack of space, air conditioning and heating!

WE'RE ENGAGED!!!
Patrick asked me to marry him on March 7, 2009 as he was saying good night.
Several months ago I asked Patrick what the time frame for a proposal be, his answer shocked me: anytime from until June 2010!!!! So imagine my surprise when he got down on one knee on my front porch last Saturday!
We're getting married on July 10th in the Draper Temple...only 119 days away!
I will always carry what Patrick said in my heart. He said: Katie Valentine, I love you so incredibly much. You are my world. Will you marry me?
I spent several moments freaking out and then said YES! We then came back inside my house (as if I was going to let him leave) and he gave me a beautiful bouquet of flowers. I was still freaking out and I could hardly sit still. I'm so excited to finally know that I will be marrying the love of my life.
Wedding plans are already well underway and I even already have a dress and shoes! It's coming along smoothly.

Love Each Moment
Well, this is my first blog! How exciting! I've toyed around with idea of creating a blog and I have delayed it because I didn't think I would have the time but I have decided to make time to do it. To start out I am just going to say that I probably will only be on my blog once a week, if that. I have a crazy school semester that takes up a lot of my time from doing other things but I will do the best I can to make sure I keep you all updated on life. To start off, I have the most wonderful boyfriend, Patrick, in the whole world. Every time I see him we have so much fun! Whether it's watching a movie or going out on the town together we always have tons of fun!
Last night Patrick took me to the Jeff Foxworthy show. It was so funny! I laughed about 99.9% of the time and you could tell Patrick loved it too! I love watching Patrick laugh because he has the most incredible dimples in the whole world! We also went to dinner at the Olivia Garden. It was a wonderful night! I can't wait to see him tonight!
I am currently taking 18 credits for school! It sounds like a lot but they for the most part are easy classes. I struggle with my Italian class and my Mass Comm Law requires a lot of reading but as long as I do that I am fine. I also writing for the school paper. I usually have a story every day. You can check them out at http://dailyutahchronicle.com.
Remember to Love Each Moment!!
